The "Fun2Funk", originating in Pisa's area, are a band of 6 elements:
Laura Catricalà
She was born and grew up in a family of musicians who immediately gave birth to her passion for music. At the age of 19 he sings as a soloist in the group "Hermosa", ranging from soul, blues and funky. Chorister of several cover bands including the "Molleggiato Band", "Fiorella Mannoia Tribute Band" and "Rehab, Amy Winehouse Tribute Band". Chorister of the singer-songwriter Magi, he takes part in various events in collaboration with Studio54Network. In 2014 soloist of the acoustic trio "LID Light Trio" which revisits pieces from the 70s to the present day. He works as a soloist and vocalist on several occasions with the soul blues singer Dilu Miller. In 2015 he joined the "Voices of Heavens Gospel Choir" choir as second soprano, participating in numerous events including the Pisa Gospel Festival®, at the Palazzo dei Congressi and at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa. In 2016 he began studying singing at the “G. Bonamici ”of Pisa, under the guidance of Maestra Giovanna Iannotti. He is part of the "Chaine LaRì" group as a solo singer, interpreting songs ranging from jazz, swing, to Italian music. She sings as a chorister of Cristina D'Avena in the "Semplicemente Cristina" tour with DbDays Band, taking part in the Lucca Comics & Games.
Lorenzo Gherarducci
Born in Pisa on 07/10/1992, he began studying modern guitar at the age of 12 with teacher Marco Borghini. From 2006 to 2011 he attended the electric guitar course at the Bini Music Association with teacher Danny Crews, becoming passionate about the rock / blues genre. From 2011 to 2013, after graduating from the F.Buonarroti High School for Linguistic Science, he attended Lizard academic courses at the Massa Carrara headquarters, under the guidance of maestro Fabio Bonci. In 2014 he continued his Lizard studies at the new headquarters in Pisa with maestro Edoardo Scordo, earning an academic diploma. In the same year he followed in Siena the jazz guitar courses at the Siena Jazz Foundation with the teacher Andrea Scognamillo. From November 2014 he studies jazz guitar at the G. Puccini Conservatory in La Spezia with maestro Alessio Menconi and also attends numerous seminars on blues, jazz and rock improvisation with musicians and masters: Mario Guarneri, Paolo Birro, Guthrie Govan and Robben Ford . Since 2011 he has carried out the Eveline's Dust project, a progressive rock band with which he recorded an EP in 2013 and a concept album in 2016 entitled "The Painkeeper". He also collaborates with the project "Voices Of Heaven Gospel Choir", gospel choir of Pisa.
Alberto Franceschi
Born in Pisa on 06/26/1984. Approaching music at a young age, he began studying piano at 6 years old. He continued his classical piano studies until 2004 under the guidance of the teachers Sabrina Benvenuti, at first, and Silvia Trivoletti. Later, around 2003, he approached modern music, especially Jazz and Blues. He began a training course in modern piano and ensemble music under the guidance of maestro Piero Frassi. From 2004 to 2012 he joined the Soul R&B group "The Neverwings" particularly active in the Pisan territory. From 2012 to 2016 he is part of the "CoolCats" musical group, based more on the disco music years 70-80-90-2000 During these years he participated in various charity events both as a presenter and as a musician. In 2003 he received an award at the UN headquarters in New York for the creation of a soundtrack to an independent short film on competition from the Province of Pisa called "Dalla Torre alle Torri, winds of war hopes for peace".
Federico Avella
Federico was born in Salerno on 3/16/92 and began studying saxophone at the N. Monterisi middle school in Salerno, under the guidance of saxophonist Maestro Giuseppe Esposito, with whom he studied jazz, improvisation and harmony in the years to come. His conservatory studies began in Salerno, he graduated from the Istituto Superiore P.Mascagni in Livorno with Maestro Valerio Barbieri, with a mark of 9.50 / 10. During the conservative experience he plays in various formations: in the Mascagni Institute's Big Band (participating in the "Unheard Sounds" show with a tribute to Quincy Jones) directed by M ° Mauro Grossi. In 2016 he took part in the creation of the first concept album "The Painkeeper" by the young Pisan prog group Eveline's Dust,
Marco Carloni
He was born in Pisa on 10/07/1989. He began playing electric bass at the age of 14 as a self-taught, but managed to perform on many stages in the province of Pisa. He began his musical history following the rock pop movement created in the city by performing with various formations. Currently in addition to playing for Fun 2 Funk, he is part of the prog rock group of Eveline's Dust, and contributes to the project of Lorenzo Gherarducci Wedding Band.
Andrea Ghelli
Born in 1987. From a young age he became passionate about music, immediately approaching the world of drums and percussion instruments. The turning point in learning comes from studying under the guidance of Matteo Scarpettini and subsequently Andrea Spinetti. Over the years he deepened his study of Cajòn. He takes part in a battery clinic with professionals including Walter Calloni, Roberto Gualdi, Michael Baker, Luca Capitani, Christian Meyer, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Gavin Harrison to name a few. Since 2003 he has accumulated numerous live experiences: as a drummer he plays in various pop, rock, discomusic, folk, progressive, but also blues, jazz, bossanova and Latin American music formations. He also participates as a house drummer in numerous Jam Session evenings. He takes part in the musical activities of various acoustic formations playing the cajòn. In addition, as a "versatile" percussionist, he plays in some marching bands in Tuscany alternating between snare, bass drum or timbales if necessary. Participate in historical re-enactment events by playing the medieval drum and the military drum.
